I dislike Hawthorn and everything they have done to us, Sam Mitchell even more so

Sicily and Ginnivan are two of the "most punchable" players to have ever played the game

But at least I no longer have to face the terrifying prospect of Rory Lobb with his hands on this season's premiership cup.

I watched for 5 minutes yesterday and turned it off because I still can't reconcile the utter and complete failure of Fremantle FFC not playing in this year's finals series even though I predicted their capitulation.

How can you know something is going to happen but still not believe it when it does?

In this weeks round of finals I wanted Port, Bulldogs, GWS, and Brisbane to win. The only way it could get worse is if the AFL suddenly announced a final 9 with Collingwood playing.

Lloyd Meek was on our list and I understand the club reaching a mutual agreement to trade to the Hawks given Jackson was heading our way. A team featuring Darcy, Jackson and Meek would not be a possibility.

But it makes me wonder whether it would be better to have a fit Meek for 23 games vs Darcy who is in and out of the side for the season. Midfielders love a ruckman who plays every game and knowing where to expect the tap.

Darcy is massive when he is up and about and our fitness team need to get a full season out of him, because it is too disruptive and throws us out of balance when he is not playing.

That would have been an extremely brave call to make two years ago KK.

Either way we paid overs for O'meara. Meek was plenty, the extra 2nd rounder was absurd. I said it then and I say it now.
