A great win! Looked pretty dismal in the first quarter, but then put their experience working with the Fremantle Doctor to good use. A good team-wide performance, with few stand-outs other than Strom and Tighe. Strom is so under-rated.

A no-name midfield took control in the second half. Still lots to work on, but a promising performance.

Still sad to see Aunty Houghton on the other side...she threatened all day.

freo00 - that was the worst coverage of a game I've ever seen. As well as the mistake you mentioned, when they made some comments on Antonio or Miller (can't recall), they showed photos of Tighe. But worse was Jess Webster's commentary where she just didn't understand what was going on. Called many free kicks wrong and even got the teams mixed up once. She's not normally too bad, but that was a shocker...

There has been some shocking ump decisions also , in the first game there was a free given against us for a kick that bounced along the field and went out - in our 50m area and a free was given against us .
Another was a last touch , ( not off the boot ) but last touch ( of the hand ) given against us two times in two different games , there was confusion between the boundary umps and main ump about the rule .
Razer Ray finally put things right when it happened again in one game .

Yes, umpiring standard has now become an area that needs improvement now that player skills has moved forward. There are a lot of bad calls, going both ways, every game. No sign of bias, just lots of poor calls.
