Been away for a bit and unable to respond but how was the question asked if JOM played better than Ras when they were both in the same side (the game vs Essendon) and the answer was JOM?!

JOM played a full game for 16 touches and didn't find it at all in the last quarter when Essendon were running over us. His experience and ability was non-existent. Meanwhile Ras was fantastic in the first half with 13 touches before being subbed right around half time. He was called for running too far which was his only blemish but he didn't run too far and had done a lot to create that play.

I was impressed with his disposal and awareness in that first half and incredibly surprised with the decision to sub him so early. The only stat JOM beat him on despite having half a game longer to impact was handballs as Ras had equal or more of everything including goal assists, metres gained and clearances. Ras was literally plain better than JOM on that day. Subbing him out and losing his run was probably the main factor outside of Darcy's injury that caused us to fall and as a result, miss finals.

JOM isn't better than Ras both this season or in the future.

DOCKERS’ PLANS FOR BOLTON, BAKER REVEALED
Fremantle will offer two first-rounders for Shai Bolton, but not picks 9 and 10 given it is still holding out hope it might secure fellow Tiger Liam Baker. The Dockers have picks 9, 10 and 16, with the last pick likely to drift out three spots given NGA and father-son bids.
They would hand Richmond one of pick 9 or 10 and then 16 given he is contracted to 2028 and capable of being one of the league’s game-breakers.
The Tigers will ask the world for their departing players and have already indicated they want more than the No. 6 draft pick the Suns would offer for Rioli. But the Dockers will hold one of those two early picks in case Baker decides on the Dockers instead of West Coast.

The OOFTIT's saving us a horrible trade with their coaching appointment. Baker was a terrible fit for the club and the spouted costs in a trade were ridiculous.

Now we can focus on players who will actually improve the side like Bolton, Warner and Pickett.

Just imagine if Bolton did ask for a trade to the eagles.

Yes he is a fantastic player, but just think about freo being able to use 2 of their 3 first round picks on the best talents this year in a strong draft. We could pick up a great small and talented midfielder and then bank one of first rounders to next year with a swap of Current and future trade picks with another club, for Warner next year.

Rarely has a player coming home to freo ever lived up to the draft and salary we have forgone to get them. RARELY!

You have to take the reporting this time of year with a pinch of salt, but I’m assuming that means Freo considers itself out of the running for Warner? If we’re getting Bolton I think keeping our first pick would be the preference than using it on a player like Baker (even though I like him more than most on here).

I actually think that two late first round picks is a reasonable trade for Bolton; but we have a pretty good track record for snagging good players with later picks, so even a late second rounder coming back the other way would be worth pursuing.
