When I saw it at the time I thought it could be a PCL, a typical outcome if the top of the leg drives over the knee joint, particularly if the lower leg can't go anywhere. Rule of thumb is usually 2-3 weeks for NRL, 3-4 for AFL, but can be much longer for certain players. Jack Reiwoldt was half a season. I hope against hope it's just a strain not a tear. Tragic can correct me if I'm leading you up the garden path, but the PCL provides around 15% 'stability' to the knee, and typically it isn't reconstructed, the solution is generally to build muscle around the knee to assist the joint. Many players compete their whole career without a PCL, off the top of my head Guy McKenna and Simon Madden two older examples. There would be a stack of current players/clubs keeping it under the radar too, mostly ruckmen. And this is why you also shouldn't ruck Treacy :(
