TOPIC: Voss

Must be in the side against Sydney. We need forwards who can kick goals and complement Treacy with some vigour up forward. I believe Voss can also play back if required. Question: what has happened to Amiss?

I'm a bit surprised how much people seem to rate Voss. He kicked 2.7 from 3 games and didn't take a contested mark. If he comes in, it would be at the expense of another tall. Amiss is out of form, but even though he hasn't hit his straps this season he's still a much better player than Voss.

Sydney's tall defenders might be their Achilles heel. Add to that a small ground, and an elite contested midfield, I reckon the combination of Amiss, Jackson and Treacy will really stretch Sydney.

I would play Voss at least as a sub.

If you remember last season when we played Sydney at the SCG, we ran rings around them with all of our talls firing. Darcy dominated the ruck, Jackson kicked 3 up forward, Treacy and Amiss kicked 2 each and we ran away with the game.

There's no reason we can't do the same again this weekend and move up into the top 4, establishing ourselves as a force in the race for the 2024 premiership.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

One of the things I like about Dockerland is that it hasn't descended into constant chat about gambling multis and fantasy football.

But Freo is paying $4.20 for a win in Sydney and frankly that seems crazy to me. I feel like I wouldn't be gambling responsibly if I didn't take those odds.

I'd pair it with Amiss kicking 3+. That's boat money.

Nine shots on goal from 3 games as a third string forward is pretty handy in my books, Morgan. He'd convert more if given those shots over again.

Still, in the choked-up toilet cubicle that is the SCG against a team with the most disciplined defensive structure the game has possibly ever seen, I don't feel like Voss fits the need this week.

The biggest thing Voss brings to the forward line is a physical presence which Amiss lacks at this stage in his development, I'd go with Voss and maybe Amiss as the sub, his goalkicking is very poor at the moment. I'd rather have Sam Sturt, Patrick Voss or even Sean Darcy kicking at goals to win a match at the moment. He needs a new nickname as Nev is definitely out at this season. More like Always.

I don`t think Sydney are a side to be intimidated by another's physical presence.

Ddocker, Amiss has had his confidence shattered by the double standards the umpires apply to him.

Yeah, Amiss is down on form, but we should stick with him.

Our future is Amiss, Treacy, and Jackson up forward in the key spots, and they need time together.

Voss is a very handy back up in the event we need him.

Tabs, not so much.

Jye just needs to revisit basic counting training. You know...a simple

"Hey Jye, afl plonkers are a tad taller than all your junior footy years.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 steps away from the mark IS TOO CLOSE TO BE KICKING FOR GOAL OVER A BLOKE THAT HAS HANDS 8 to 9 feet in the air.

Take 8 steps, make that your mark, then go back your normal extra walk-up distance from there and do it the same as you used to."

THen sweet as, Nev's back!

Freo won and Amiss kicked 3.

What are you spending your boat money on?
