Watching the last few moments of Kangas sh**ting the bed but how blatantly did the umpires protect the Pies in the last few minutes.
Firstly Diacos giving the AFL the perfect video to use as- this is holding the ball. 15m out directly in front of Kangas goal, no call.
Secondly- Kangas mark at half forward(~45 s to go) and two pies run straight over the mark. No 50. Umpire then calls play on. It doesn’t matter if the umpire thinks he’s played on, it must be called before players move/go over the mark.
Bad end to a terrible weekend for Freo supporters.

I like Laura Kane. She's authentic and capable.

But did she just say, because the umpire didn't give an audible call of "stand" then it's ok to encroach the mark.

I've got to report to directors on Wednesday. My team has cocked up. I'm worried about it and want to minimise damage to myself.

My plan is to apologise for the error and advise how we are not going to screw up again. Honesty is the best form of defence.

I think Laura Kane is authentically capable of being less disingenuous than she is.
