I coulda shouda but i did not have the desire to actually watch it live. I was having a sneaky look at live scores every 10 mins or so first qtr i thought ok ,not too bad we are in the game.
So i waited till 15 mins into the second ,holy s---, i am not going to watch it.
Then sat down for lunch ,i'm thinking recheck half way through the third ,the boys have faced this before we'll be right !
Only to be blown away with a 93 to 35 score, bloody hell.
Not totally convinced the bye has a lot to do with our form ,but as i posted on here yesterday ,if we make the Gf ,let's hope there is no bye before the GF.

I believe we are one of the worst after the bye but poor performance after the bye seems to be common.
I wonder if, in their consideration of equalisation, the AFL considered bye fixturing. Why is it that teams coming off the bye need to play someone who hasn’t.
I understand AFL doesn’t want a single bye weekend, why not go 3 bye weekends in groups of 6. Those in those groups will play each other during that time. They could even go to a further level and go 2x3 in the group of 6 and that group of three will play one home, one away, one bye.

Why oh why do we need a bye, coaches need to adjust workload to play a full season, if they don't it is their fault their team runs out of petrol. Get rid of the bye rounds and leave the coaches to sort themselves out.

Freo supporters have had 5 home games in 14 rounds . The WAFL needs to be more flexible in its fixturing to capitalise on getting people through the gates when their AFL side is on a bye, WAFL sides on byes in the same week should be avoided. The WAFL provides a valuable pathway but can get lost in all the AFL media.

Why do we have a bye?

Probably nothing to do with players' welfare.

Probably a lot to do with stretching out the season to displace cricket and other sports ... or at least that's what I'd conclude if I thought the AFL was only about revenue.

All teams that had a bye in opening round this season played another team who also had a bye in opening round for round 1, except for one team - that was us if I remember correctly.

The bye sux. Another equalisation issue the for AFL to consider is to not make us play at 11.45 away from home. Body clock is 9.45 so a real early start for the boys
