After watching lots of footy I've come to the conclusion that the 'fend off' is used far too often to try and break tackles. Instead of giving off the first option, a kick or handball, players seem to think they're Dusty Martin and try always try to fend off as a first option. Then, they're caught and it's HTB.

At Freo, Matt Johnson and Nat Fyfe seem to be the ones who fend off most and get caught.
