29 picks in round one is getting silly.
The Eagles (after the worst season in living memory) get one pick, NM (marginally better) got five picks! That said, it might be argued that WC could have split their pick for 3-4 picks in the top 30. They’ve gone all in for one ‘very good’ player but I’d rather have 3-4 ‘almost as good’ players.
Clarkson and Hardwick have been given a golden hand. They should rise up the ladder in a hurry. No doubt Clarkson and Hardwick will be given credit as master coaches for improved ladder positions rather than the AFL being master manipulators.
