Interesting that it's only 16 in the VFL. It's been a much more even competition than the WAFL, where I believe one team has one 30. That's unbelievably lop sided but perhaps they're just a phenomenal football club.

Yeah so just on Collingwoods 16, they won them in a competition of more than four teams so they are kind of valued a little more.

Also during WW2 when the competition was literally U19's they don't claim those.

But we love you guys we really do. And you've still won five or six since we've all been playing so that's pretty darn good.

The 1900 win is what counts. The first premiership when the other three sides in the competition were no match for the ensuing juggernaut and the competition was called WAFA.

The game was marred though by some devilish shenanigans from their Unions (soon to become South Fremantle) opponents whose captain Charlie Braithwaite, concocted a pre game plan to take the caps off their opponents heads as they came off at half time. This roughouse tactic infuriated Old Easts with opposing captains Braithwaite and Winrow shaping up to each other as they went down the race. This tactic backfired though with coach Freddy Bishop giving a stirring speech to his charges in the shed during the break. After this it was one way traffic with the blue and whites piling on 3.2. to their opponents shakingly inaccurate 1.5. for the half.

Things got crazy in the after game celebrations when Thomas Archibald dropped his knickerbockers and mooned the crowd. The wallopers were called and chased Archie across the field with whistles blaring but in true keystone cops material were tripped over by his team mates. A jolly good laugh was had.

So essentially, what you're saying is that premierships only count when there are teams like West Coast and South Fremantle languishing at the bottom of the ladder, with a handful of combined wins, propping up the rest of the competition on their useless shoulders.
