Went early to see the Tiger cubs have a good win over the hapless Demons outfit. A bit lucky at the end but we'll take the flag. Now I know that we're not going to get a look at Dan Curtin but a few other kids impressed me especially the medal winner Zane Zakostelsky, sounds like a character from a Mad Max movie, 196cm and 90kg he played ruck most of the day and won most with a good leap. He's probabably a bit short for a front line ruck unless he's still got some growing in him but his follow up work around the ground was impressive with 22 disposals. He could be a good key position prospect at AFL level. Sam van Rooyen looked good up forward and another who looked likely for the Tigers was Max Rohr 194cm and 83kg, only listed as having 6 disposals but looked likely as the back up ruckman with a huge leap taking a couple of hangers in the forward line. Hamish Davis a lively forward with 3 goals but I think he's a 2024 Draft candidate, too young.
The one Perth player I was taken with was the younger O'Driscoll kid, Aiden. He's a lot smaller than Nathan but lightning quick and runs all day to be a thorn in the Tigers side. Is he a prospect for us and when will we need to pick him up.
Picks for me, Zakostelsky, O'Driscoll and Rohr
