Interesting article on Hogan, seems he has turned his life around, playing some good football now.

Didn’t read the article but it’s great to see him playing so well and wow if we’d had him and Amiss in the same side.

Jesse is an exciting player to watch, good luck to him for the future.

Yep. Good luck to him. Getting out of football bubbles like Melbourne and Perth probably suits him but you have to wonder about our original decision to bring him over given his condition at the time and what we gave up (which isn’t meant as a criticism of Hogan, rather the club’s desperation to get him and the price we paid)

“Melbourne reluctantly let Hogan go to the Dockers on a three-year deal worth $900,000 a season.
The Demons nailed the exchange by securing picks 6 and 23, turning them into Steven May and midfielder Tom Sparrow.
Meanwhile, Hogan arrived at Fremantle injured, in bad shape mentally and with a massive target on his back.“

Don't forget the vision of him doing a Rory just before half time when the footy wasn't kicked to him. That's Hogan in a nutshell. I'd rather have Amiss & Jackson.

I won't forget it for sure. He and another Giant were standing on their own on the edge of the square and their team mate has a shot from about 50 instead of centring the ball to two players standing unopposed and kicks it out on the full. They then lose by a point.
Bet their supporters won't forget it either.

It's not about what Greene (?) did wrong, it's what Hogan did. Kick it to meee stuff. He never demanded the footy, just stood waving his arms.

I would have thought putting your hands up is a way of demanding the ball plus when you're standing in the square ten metres on your own you can't really make a lead unless you run around in a circle. He and his team mate had every right to put their hands up to show they were free.
Plus your team mate with the ball should be lowering his eyes and looking at centering it anyway when he's that far out instead of taking a hopeful shot on goal.

Getting the full forward to stand still with their arms in the air is our game plan.

Not anymore. Amiss is a genuine leading forward. Now we just have to learn how to get the ball to him.

We need a coach to tell the forwards how to lead…..sheesh?

WTB that is the problem. Now our Full forwards are moving around it makes it hard to find them cause their arms aren't in the air. Challenging times, leading forwards. Next thing you'll have people kicking the ball into space in the 50 and the forwards will be trying grab it, the sneaky sods.

I’m happy for Hogan and it’s good to see him playing well where he manages to stay out of the public eye and public scrutiny. We gave up a lot for him and got nothing in return but it was a risk we needed to take but it just didn’t work out.
We have taken a similar risk with Jackson but that one seems to be a better result at this stage.
I am far happier with Amiss, Treacy & Jackson in our forward line, all team players that don’t remonstrate with teammates when things aren’t going how they would like.
Hogan & Lobb on the other hand…

I guess the difference with Hogan and Lobb is that Hogan wanted to be here but was going through too many personal issues and was very disappointed in himself that it didn't work out, whereas Lobb didn't want to be here, made it very obvious and said that this was the case and then bagged the club on the way out.
So, happy to see Hogan finding form and a better life and also for Lobb to be dropped to the reserves at WB.
