Here’s the thing though, despite all the missed opportunities of dropped marks, shots that fell short or went out on the full from 20m out. We were leading at 3/4 time by a goal, so the coaches would have thought if the players stick at it and start taking those chances, we’re a good chance of winning the game. Problem was we missed 4 more relatively easy shots in the last while they kicked 4.1 for the quarter.
The only time I was really disappointed was when we went 2 goals down and continued playing safe, with less than 10 minutes to go, you need to switch up. Ross parked the bus in the last 10 minutes though with every single saints player parked in our F50.
The play that really got my goat was 4 dockers standing in a circle around the ball and none of them trying to pick the thing up, enter a saints player who darts in squirts a handball to a mate 5m outside the circle of dockers and they were away again!
