I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out. I loved the feel of the WAFL Grand Final this year with a big crowd in a suburban oval. Hopefully that’s replicated to some extent at Norwood. As for the timeslot, I get to choose between an early work knockoff and head to the pub to watch (great option) or take a day or afternoon off for the school holidays and watch with the little tacker (also pretty good).
In a footballing sense, it’s a better option than playing a team from SA which would be an extra away game, and probably better than playing a big Victorian club (a de facto away game with the crowd noise). It’s probably also better than playing early on Saturday morning, or late on Sunday when Adelaide Oval is chopped up, or at Mount Barker.
Not the best. Not the worst.
