I see only one dead cert in that. Form and injuries (avoiding) are going to play a big part to hold our spot in the top 4 where we need to be to have a crack at the premiership.

*I say “should be” because years of experience with Freo means that my capacity to be optimistic is very fragile.

We need to change our mindset. As WTB said, the other teams should be worried about us. I think only Richmond has a comparatively ‘easy’ run. Melb, Bris and Carl all have tough runs too. I’m super confident *

Almost every team in the top 8 has an incredibly tough rough other than Geelong who have somehow been gifted another game against the OOFTIT's and 2 more against North.

We actually have one of the lighter runs in the top 8, maintain our form and there's a lot of 8 point games for us to ensure a high finish.

The Richmond & Melbourne games are the only ones I'd rate as tough. All the others are tests for us to remain focused.

Biz the Geelong do have the easiest run home but they only play North once more as they played them earlier in the year. To be fair I wouldn’t mind seeing Geelong make the top four if we do as we match up well against them on any ground.

So a win against Carlton would move us into the top two. Surely this is motivation enough, although I think we are a motivated team.
No doubt a top two finish would give us home finals which for us would be a massive advantage. We can only dream.
