Keep in mind that it is not your personal behaviour that will cut the emissions that cause climate change. It is when power companies use green energy to generate electricity that we all become virtuous. When government rules make electric cars cheaper than petrol cars, then we'll all be greenies.
The best policy to achieve lower emissions is a price on carbon. Ninety percent or so of economists say it is the cheapest way to reduce emissions. It is only because a price on carbon will work that the Murdoch media and some fossil fuel giants so successfully demonized the carbon tax.
If companies like Woodside are going to be part of the solution (and they prefer that to fading into irrelevancy), then they need to come out publicly in favour of a carbon price. And we do need Fyfe in the midfield.
