Yeah...but...when you buy an iphone you are signing up for a thing. A thing that comes in a box.
When you sign up for a club membership, you aren't signing up for something in, or out of, a box. The bloke who's decided to have the team do more football trainy stuff not at Cockburn Central West understands this and it's catching on. To my surprise yet great satisfaction.
Seriously, the last thing I or anyone really need is more dodgy cheap plastic stuff from China. If it was the foresight of looming plastic bits bans that had someone get rid of the devil that was the card lanyard pouch then all power to that person. If it was some IT nerd just riding the life in your pocket device wave, same net impact if not quite so philosophical.
I'll tolerate a very small amount of cheapo plastic bits, but I don't need more of them, in plastic bags in a plastic slide-seal satchel in a plastic bag in a plastic lined envelope or a plastic courier bag.
A tea towel would be great, though. Shame our dishwasher has no sticky out bits to hang one on.
