I can appreciate why there will be some predicatable reactions to this post as we've all seen similar situations play out in the past, only for the 'jungle drums' (that one's for you Shane :)) to amount to nothing. That said, further to a post that I sent through a couple of months ago, a close associate of Cerra's has confirmed that he has now purchased a property in Fitzroy. I hope this is nothing more than an investment for the future, however, combined with his girlfiend being Victorian and his ongoing stand off with a tabled contract I think the club should be very nervous about his future. Fingers crossed that his manager is just playing hardball for a bigger contract.

(I now expect the inevitable comparisons with 'booking kids into Scotch College' or 'viewing properties in Cottesloe')

Wait, which golf club has he applied for membership?

That'll tell us where he's going.

Oh good, another game of "will he or won't he go?"

More entertaining and long-term than "what will Willie do next?"

Did anyone else notice the mixed reaction Cerra got during the team announcement on Saturday night? That was a little unfortunate.

Walter, someone needs to let Cerra’s mate (I notice we don’t call him Adam these days) that his plan to live, work and play for Fitzroy has some flaws, career-wise...

I like watching him play and I hope stays.

I’d really like to see Cerra, Brayshaw, Serong, Ryan & Darcy together in finals in the way I enjoyed Mundy, Walters, Pav, McPharlin & Sandi.

Dreams are free.

At the end of the day, a partner from Victoria may decide the issue. He is a great player though, and a good fit for our team. Hopefully we can at least put a decent offer on the table!

I hope he stays but supposedly interested in going to Richmond. He is one of best ball users.

If he does go, do we hope for draft picks or players? If players do we look at W.A. players like SPS and Fisher at Carlton who aren't getting a regular league game?

Yeah hope he stays, but have my doubts. I wonder what he would be worth. A top 10 pick or better? Obviously he went higher than that in his draft year but clubs never seem to get what a player is worth unless it is free agency and the afl steps in. Then it's a lucky dip.

He has justified his high pick, but it's happened before that Victorian journalists have painted Fremantle as an unreasonable party in a trade, seeking to influence it the Victorian club's way. I just can't remember the player in question

I really really hope he stays, if he does decide to leave and it’s to Richmond, I’d be asking for Bolton and a second round pick. IMHO getting another kid we need to get 50 games into will set us back as a club.

I'd forgotten about the talk of Bolton coming home. Can't imagine that would be any more than a straight swap though would it?
He and a second round pick puts him of quite less value than Cerra.
