Brett Ratten had a few interesting things to say after the match.
He complained that St Kilda had 85 tackles during the game, and says they out-tackled Geelong, but even so, they got only got 3 free kicks as a direct result of all the tackling.
He’s quoted as having said “I don’t know if it’s worth tackling. Just set up behind the ball and flood back”
He also complained that, while being repeatedly tackled, Geelong didn’t always seem to properly handball away, saying “It will be interesting to have a look at how those (hand) balls got distributed, too.”
He’ll be very lucky not to fined by the AFL for having stated the very obvious.
