We don't have any picks for this, but is the long term injury option still available for us to become eligible?

If we put someone on the long term injury list and basically rule them out for the season, we will gain a pick in the midseason draft.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Albeit it gaining a pick of a player no one wanted in the last draft.

Yeah I can't see anyone of worth available. You're best bet would be trying to grab a kid who was passed over at the draft 6mths ago that has shown a bit this year. That'd be another long term bet though and not likely to help us now.

There's been a lot of talk about the young W.A. talls coming through the system for next year with Van Rooyen training with us.
If we were going to look at a young tall mid year or next year, I think someone that would have shot into calculations recently and have talent scouts interested would be Jack Buller from Claremont. Played state U/18s but is now 19 and holding a down key forward position. 196 cm, good grab and kick. Kicked 5.4 against WP and also does relieving ruck work.
We're short in size and short on forwards so could be worth a punt if we're looking at developing someone.

It doesn't look like we'll participate. Its happening first week of June. It's funny, can't think of what we need most. Its all there. Just need to get it together.

The only thing I can think of that we're missing right now is a threatening wingman. We've got guys like Acres who can run up and down a field all day, and that has some value, but we don't have anyone like Stephen Hill in his prime who coaches would tag because him getting 20 touches was more damaging than another midfielder getting 30.

But we're not getting that in the midseason draft.

The rest comes down to availability. Can we get a physio at the mid-season draft?

Henry is a natural winger.

Someone should send Duffers an email and tell him we don't have a midyear pick.

I'm pretty sure we could still add a pick by ruling Chapman out for the year. I can't see a mid year draftee having an impact in the 2021 season though.

That Delahunty from Subiaco. Big bodied forward/ruck could do a job for us as Treacy develops and Darcy and Lobb perennially hurt themselves.

No one is getting on the Jonathon Marsh wagon. It's just me and Ray Sorrell.

Schloithe for me..
I now we dont need another small forward but this guy would make an immediate impact.
Ross is no longer the boss so any prior grievance from all parties can be overcome.
Can play, is fit, tough and would be in our best 22 straight away.
