I hear they are looking to invest in some AlterG stairs for instances like this.

Note to self: Market regular escalators as AlterG stairs.

After the Medicos boarded the plane:

Fremantle AlterG stairs - TBC

Lets hope the plane doesn't do a wheel or a strut on landing.

Fremantle Charter Flight - TBC

Yeah, I've been looking back at the three games we've played against the slime this year - 2 preseason and 1 in season and some things are beginning to look disquieting.

In the first game we lost Luke Ryan in the first game due to a knee in the back from Brander, fortunately not a long term injury.

In the second preseason game, we lost Lobb and Banfield to injuries caused by tackles below the knees. This is an area of concern. We lost other players to 'normal' causes but tackling below the knees is a tactic with serious injury potential.

In the recent derby, Hughes was injured in a fairly crude tackle from Sheppard and Frederick wore an injured ankle from yet another below the knees 'spoil attempt'.

We must have the worst run of coincidences to pickup so many injuries from slime players diving into people's legs. It's looking like we cop more serious injuries when we play against the slime. Maybe something worth looking at.

I think that West Coast tackle to injure. Having said that Lobb was caught in an unlucky position, and Hughes had other options. But definitely the injuries to Banfield, Ryan, and Fredericks can be laid squarely on the Eagles players.

Chapman is an 18yo in a workplace where he gets injured, is made to keep working in a dangerous environment for two more hours, and then learns he needs a shoulder reconstruction.
I think a WorkSafe investigation is warranted.

Presumably he was given treatment and they gave medical advice that said he would be able to continue playing without further injury.

I once had a coach who used to say "we're gonna f*** it or fix it"

He was a dinosaur....

Presumably not a doctor though.

No, not a doctor.....but I can't escape the feeling that freo does this less professionally than other clubs. Unfortunately WC is a stark contrast.

You haven't been in ear shot of one of their supporters this week then. Their entire backline has polio.

Merriman's beard effort should'nt go without commendation - good effort, it's been less than a month since he tossed the razor:

I think in his role, Merriman is a big misnomer.

I was thinking about the injury comparison with WC over the past few years rather than weeks.

I heard a lot of WC supporters' dire assessments after the Geelong game. "Gold coast are closer to a flag", freo will belt us by 40pts", "nic nat is fat" etc. etc.

They've had it tough...
