Yes, I know it's a media person sprouting off, but these were the comments that Tim Kelly said after the game. When a player is expressing his surprise at not being tagged you know it must be the norm. Let's face it, we have teams tagging Brayshaw just about every week.
If you have a top class midfield that rarely gets beaten I don't suppose you need one, but we don't.
I do realise that even if we had have cut Kelly out, Redden and Sheed were still on top, but if you go back to the Geelong v Slime game Kelly and had only 1 more disposal than his tagger in O'Connor who actually kicked a goal himself.
Still think there is role for a tagger, maybe not every week, but sometimes yes.
