We wouldn't talk, laugh or smile with our opponent before the siren. And if you got caught doing it the coach would belt you with soap cakes stuffed into pillow cases. Like Joker did to Gomer in Full Metal Jacket. All I see from these kids is sportsmanship, civic decency and good manners. Weak as water.

Depended on the opponent, Hypen, some of them got really psyched out if you did laugh & shake hands with them, and it played on their mind for a couple of hours. Some you just totally ignored.

As for the coach, he preferred the "10 laps after training" and the "50 pushups before & after training" instead of buying 20 cakes of soap and a pillowcase.

The wedding went longer than an actual wedding. It was 3 hours into the film before they started on the plot. By the time the action started I was rooting for the bullet.

Saw a thing for what looks like a good documentary on Alad Ladd Jr. I was looking up something on Trove and saw an ad for an Alan Ladd Sr movie, and I forgot what it was called so I just did a search and the trailer for the doco came up. He was a studio executive.
