Four Hawthorn players were sanctioned for their part in Clarkson's organised thuggery.

O'meara for striking Serong - $2000
Ceglar for flattening Walters - $2000
Scrimshaw for tripping Fyfe - $1000
Lewis for striking Serong - 1 week

Hawthorn got off light. There is nothing there to act as any incentive for Clarkson to clean up his act.

I was at the game yesterday and remarked to my co-seat renter that as a middle aged woman with occasional temper flares, I volunteer to assemble a handful of other WOCA (women of a certain age) to take on any and all of those hawks behind the bike sheds.

Then go behind the gym.

Hard to find a bike shed these days.

Raglan Matt
They would not be game to front up to you if there are no cameras & MRP to protect them.

Nice one, Yeti, you know I’d rather be a lover than be a fighter. But not Hawthorn. My rage is real.

While you're out just be careful of Hypen, he is a still a bit concussed and has been prone to wearing the wrong teams jumpers.

Planned and systemic thuggery and our guys did well to get the win.

I remember Sam Mitchell’s deliberate kneeing of a young Fyfe years ago which put Fyfe out for weeks.

The AFL need to send a strong message the days of bashing players is over.

Okay, so they got whacked with a feather at the MRO, but what was the result of these “indiscretions” DURING the game? Because unless this rubbish is jumped on during the game, it’ll keep happening.

There was a time when the Hawks routinely got away with this without any MRO attention - Hodge, Mitchell and Lewis in particular - so this is an improvement. When was the last time 4 players from one side had MRO charges against them in one game?

Don’t you just love the clinical nature of a MRO report?

“Jack Scrimshaw, Hawthorn, has been charged with Tripping [time, place, people involved]...
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Tripping”

Typical Hawthorn - blatant intimidation and thuggery - but let’s give credit to a far more focussed and professional Dockers team, who didn’t allow the Hawthorn provocations to become a distraction.

What about that bloke that decided to go into a marking contest on the wing, front on with both arms bent, elbows in and forearms first into Aish's face?

"Dirty WeePoos player [insert name] is charged with making purposeful head high contact with extreme maliciousness to the face of Fremantle's James Aish. As a final offence he has been sent directly to the back of the bike shed on a dark night wherein his punishment will be decided by Dockerland's Fourthump."

Go for it, fourthump.

I think that if more than 3 players are reported for separate offences in the same game then the coach should be sanctioned as it would appear evidence of an organised approach.
A one week penalty (no contact with club) would be an appropriate sanction for the coach and underlings. Oh and some money too. A week's salary?
