Without wanting to sound like hypen, because he thinks I was saying a similar thing last week, I think this is rubbish.
It's important to have people with the patience and understanding to give the Eddie's of the world the benefit of the doubt as they ignorantly trample all over everything, and I wish Eddie all the best in becoming better at being Eddie, but the fact that it still has to be personally explained to Eddie, on multiple occasions, suggest he isn't suitably qualified for the job he was doing. Eddie isn't entitled to the job, he has to be good at it to keep it.
This was more than a stupid thing. He had a report in front of him telling him what not to do and he did that thing. He didn't understand the report he commissioned. So how much of the soft cap does he want them to spend on teaching Eddie to not be awful? And how many people should have to have their lives impacted while he learns on the job.
