I would have loved to have seen a lockdown on Margaret Court attending.

Prepare yourselves, I think our girls are about to get shafted again. During the Melbourne lockdown all the top Vic clubs will play no hopers Geelong and Richmond while we play top sides Adelaide and Brisbane. Hopefully they will play Gold Coast as well. From there it gets worse because our girls could get stuck in Victoria if they're made to play Melbourne teams on the road. Alternatively the Melbourne teams will have to serve 2 weeks quarantine in order to play in Perth an option that Queen Nicole seems very reluctant to impose on them. The reluctance to consider hubs could see the whole season called off again if someone doesn't do some rather inventive and non Victorian centric thinking but I doubt they're capable of this.

I spoke with a sceptic yesterday who wondered why Lisa Thaleka could be inducted into the Hall of Fame after only a fraction of the Tests that Steve Smith had played.
Apart from less Test matches scheduled in the women's game, he hadn't considered that junior girls look up to the Australian women's team now they are getting radio and airtime.
In the AFLW at least they're getting some games in and junior girls can see their heroes, it's as important as anything else. But yeah it begins to look like some skewed fixturing happening where non-Vics - especially WA teams - will be on the road to accommodate everyone else, which some of the girls may not be able to commit to.
Not ideal. Now where is Katie-Jayne? Whatever else happens, we are going to need her. There's someone to look up to.
