Nah, I have to disagree.
i) Sure the opposition players are big but because of your protection they very rarely lay a solid tackle and even then their aim is to block the punt not injure the punter. No NFL punter in recent seasons has had career threatening impact injuries.
ii) your game time amounts to less than a handful of plays that can be measured in seconds not minutes
iii ) the rewards are huge - there aren’t any AFL players earning $2 million per season
