I find it bizar that Essendon can get pick 7 for Daniher and Freo can only get a 2nd round pick for Hogan, I wouldn't trade him for that, play him next year and improve his worth with good results.

Based on what is said here, any other club would be mad to take Hogan. Personally, I hope that Hogan and Blakely stay, and work their backsides off, and earn a spot in the team. And I hope the team is picked based on the actual value each player adds to the ability of the team on the day.

Our premiership window is opening now. We need depth now. Sure we need to get promising youngsters, but nobody we get will provide what Hogan and Blakely can provide right now.

I'd like to think that the mark of a good club is to get the best out of any talented player. But to be fair, the mark of a good club is also to know when to stop trying. And I'm not there at the coal face, so I don't know.

I’m not a big fan of Hogan as he hasn’t done much at Freo and has to many dramas , but we already got rid of McCarthy that means we won’t have any depth...:and on top of that we need a ruck forward

I didn't miss Hogan, McCarthy or Blakely this year when they didn't get a gig.
We lost five games by less than a kick..or two..or three.. and we would have made the eight..which would have been another game..or two.
Saw a lot to like this year.
