Thought I would post this while the season was still fresh in our minds. Anyone have any ideas? In general I thought the club made huge inroads this year in developing a really good team for the long term. It was interesting to hear Longmuir say during the week that we need more outside run. Would be keen to hear what dockerlanders think we should target in the draft or trade period.

A touch of class among the small forwards wouldn’t hurt either. I thought Schultz and to a lesser extent Crowden were found out tonight being too slow to make decisions with the ball in hand and getting caught with it a number of times or missing the opportunity to move it on to a better placed player. Frustrating!!

Look for a trade for S. Hill. He’s now past his peak. Get Pearce and Hamling back on the park. Teach the forwards some leading patterns. Offer Serong 10 years. Get Henry into the gym.

If Hamling and Pearce come back in then I think Logue could possibly fill that outside mid role. I’m convinced we haven’t seen anywhere near the best of him yet and I am loath to break up the chemistry that Cox and Ryan are building. Hughes and Duman have done nothing wrong. Wilson found his mojo towards the end of the season and Watson was pretty hard done by to lose his spot this week. We also have Young to slot in somewhere.
At the other end Sturt looks a likely type but Henry and Fred look a long way off. Shultz has locked in. Lobb hasn’t. ( I sure there is another small forward who showed a bit before injury who’s name just escapes me)*
The mids with Darcy are ready to explode
Don’t really know much about Meek but don’t see a future there. So I guess a ruckman is our biggest need but I’d be just picking best available player early on. Ruckmen can usually be found later

Based on age and reduced list sizes I don’t see anyone being interested in trading for S Hill (and I hope we don’t see him in other colours)
I would love to have B Hill back - we miss his outside run delivery. Someone of that ilk would be worth chasing.
