God forbid, Morgan. He's a keeper.

Cerra is already as good as Angus and has more upside, he’d have to be desperate to go home before we even considered that, if it did go ahead I’d expect picks coming back to us as well.

Tucker or Cerra for Brayshaw! What are we trying to do, help Melbourne to their next flag?

How long is Georgiades contract. He looks like a game winner.
I think the current team group have built a really strong bond and ethos so we should look to get future players to build a for the next 5 years. The next 4 or 5 years are going to be really exciting so we need to build that out to a decade of success.

Eventually Trade Targets 3 years 8 months ago #21

Eventually
The only trading we should be looking at is improving our draft order - the more top 20 picks we can get the better. We have to stop recycling other club players and find the quality players waiting for their chance. Look at Cerra, Logue, Brayshaw, Young, Serong, Frederick and Henry they are our future. Let's find 2 or 3 more this draft ready to contribute within 2 years.

Just don't get the need for another inside mid in Brayshaw from Melbourne, when we already have Fyfe, Blakely, Brayshaw, Serong and Mundy. Plus Valente? And what's the go for Acres? Surely he's not a wingman.
Badly need a big backman as Pearce and Hamling are not looking likely for a long time, if at all.
Also a ruckman as it appears that we are unwilling to give Meek a run.

Acres has always been an outside runner. He may look like a bigger body but he is not a contested ball inside midfielder.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Biz...I haven't see m7ch of Acres...but gotta say I haven't been overly impressed with his output over the few games he's played.

Obviously he's underdone...is he playing a 'foreign role' at the moment...or what are we to expect from him. Is he capable of being an 'attacking wingman' ....or is he more the defensive type...?

I'm hoping he's underdone and will get better as he's been underwhelming and for an outside runner, he hasn't seemed to run too much and seems quite slow.

Acres hasn’t really had much opportunity to settle into the team and style of play. His first hit out in pre season looked promising. Since then he’s been injured and there has been limited opportunity to practice match sim I would e thought.
I would kick the tyres on Brayshaw. Something is awry with him he can play at the level and would help build a club culture and unity. I like the idea of family members st the same club.

Fremantle got pick 40 for Crozier when he asked for a trade a few years ago. It looked cheap to me at the time as he was seemingly coming in to his prime and Freo had spent a fair bit of time developing him. Brayshaw is a similar age but had that one season where he reached a much higher level than Crozier has. If you could get him for a similar price I think it would be well worth it. Fremantle need another inside mid, especially with Mundy getting on.

It's tough to have a go at Acres so far, he's come in off an injury and a wing role is probably the hardest position to do that as you need a good tank and speed to run all day while your touch and disposal can often take a little time to come back. It also doesn't help when the games he played were wet and slippery as that doesn't suit his game well.

At the Saints he was always someone who'd look a million bucks for 20min in the game and then rarely be sighted. Pick up 8/9 quality touches in a quarter then do nothing the rest of the game. It's part of being a young outside player in an average team. He looked fantastic in his preseason game for us before injury so hopefully he can get back to that.
