It never pays to go the early crow. But I do recall being hounded for saying Tabs is the answer for us up forward.

Luke Ryan was heroic down back, Ethan Hughes was enormous in the first quarter. The backs were very solid. They deserve more love!

The defence was enormous today, best game Wilson has played in a long time as well as Ryan and Hughes. Duman & Watson are development projects and need some more mass on their bones but were both serviceable. I have no idea why Conca stopped tagging Sidebottom in the second half, he was winning the dual in the first half.

Duman seems to be consistently punching above his weight. He has the potential to become a beast in the backline if he stacks on some muscle. Future AA.

I'd just like to point out that I called for the return of Crowden and Blakely. But Justin chose to ignore my recommendation on McCarthy - obviously to come in on the wing. Bewley got a bit of it, but who was the other wing?

I rest my case - McCarthy should have played.

Cerra also spent time on the other wing.

Cam would be an awesome crumbing forward, if there is no spot available on the wing for him, just saying.

I think Cam Mac would be a good replacement for Matera but only if he tackles hard, not a joke but I've been wondering how Cam Mac would go at optus with those stupid flashing lights and his epilepsy.

I said exactly the same thing at the stadium last night!
I don't think Matera is doing enough to justify his selection and Cammac would be a great replacement.

Slammen, he only needs to lay a couple of 3/4 hearted tackles to be our second worst forward pressure player.

Caleb Serong went from $17 at half time for the rising start to $6.50 at the end of the game.
Now into 3.50 second fav.
I havent been so excited about a youngster since I can recall ever - maybe Pav, Haze, Fyfe, Neale, Palmer are the ones I was equally keen on but Im starting to hope Caleb is right at the top of this bracket and a player we can build a midfield around for 15 years..Its great to watch. Watching him live is truly mesmerising. He is treating 250 game veterans with contempt at contests..
Now hurry back Youngy and lets get Liam Henry out there too!!

Too right demo1. I watched a bit of the game this morning before work - and Serong was awesome. Reads the play well, really strong. We have a keeper.
