It seems like WC players have got a nack in punching others it’s already happened a number of times this season....how the hell does E. Yeo get away with that punch at the jaw....what , do u actually need to brake it to get suspended?

One rule for them and another for everyone else.
Something really stinks here.
Perhaps Geelong (who play the egirls next) could appeal the decision. They'll be without their Tom Hawk due to suspension.

The fella has an arrogance as detestable as waterman’s noggin.

Who, Mushy? Yeo, Hawkins, or both?

The grading on Hawkins impact was again a joke, kept him under the threshold for more time. Compare it to some of the medium or high impact gradings of Freo players in recent times. Also, Hawkins priors should have added a week or 2 to his suspension.

Much as I love to hate the mob up the road, Yeo's hit was far too soft to count as anything.

That's a good observation by Mushroom - nowhere near the same level (of course), but he's getting close to that ugly bloke's noggin aesthetics for sure.

I was talking Yeo, Raglan, I can't put my finger on it but there's something about his swagger that just grates me.

But Hawkins is not far off, either, and when you combine it with a cheekbone structure that makes your face look like a plasticene teddy bear then it's just an abhorrent freakshow all 'round.

Every time I see Hawkins, I think "Sam Newman snuck out one night".

Well, the tribunal seem to like the cut of his jib. Hawkins and Yeo both free to swat each other on the weekend.

Well, well, well, why am I not surprised. The video clearly shows contact to Ryans' jaw, the head is sacrosanct, but Geelong players are more sacrosanct. Hawkins has previous form for this sort of thing when he is being towelled up by an opponent, the tribunal should know this, so they have chosen to ignore video evidence and recidivist behaviour and go with a medical report. As much as I dislike the eagles, I do not think that justice has been served, but the usual apologists for video angles and legalese will come up with reasons why I am wrong. Remember those arguments when Walters, Darcy or Ryan gets sick of being treated unfairly.

I'm happy. Good to see that the tribunal didn't want to do WC any favours by keeping Hawkins out.
