Geelong have some big lads up forward. What about Tabs down back and Lobb out the square with Cam M playing half forward?

Hawkins and Ratugolea are big lads. Ryan can't go with him. And we've lost so much with Ryan not playing third man up.

When Hogan is fit Id throw him back. Great run and great kick. In the interim just tell Tabs to fist the ball.

I'd give Hogan a run at full forward. See if he's any good near the goals.

O'Reilly could probably do with a match payment. He's got some genetic form in defence.

That Toby kid won't do, that's for sure. I don't know if you've ever seen Ratugolea up close, but you could fit two Toby Watsons into him and still have space left over.

If they really dislike Connor Blakely so much, bring him in as a one-on-one defender for the job.

How about tossing young Lloyd Meek a challenge by manning up in defence. He's got all the Cats covered for height and bulk and is apparently quite mobile for a big fella. You can't drag Tabs away from the forward line as he's one of the leading contested marks and only 4 goals off the Coleman lead so he is also our best bet of kicking goals without Jesse in the side.

Leave Tabs & Lob where they are , and make Geelong worry about them.

Bring in Henry - ready or not - and tell him to be front & centre of Lobb & Tabs all day. And give him the freedom to 'be creative'.

Just have to play an extra (or 2) man in defence , and fill up the holes that Hawkins and the R man might run into.

Sacrifice both of the small defensive forwards to do this. ( Ie Banfield & Schulz), bring in Blakely as an extra half back.
I'd even shove Mundy back there.

And just hope Brayshaw,, Cerra, , Serong and Mikey can get things sorted in the centre.

Failing that, find someone with Covid and get them into the Geelong resort.....

I would free Ryan up to play as the third man up, he reads the play well enough to know which contest to go to, and a couple of aggressive spoils over the top of Hawkins will have "Tantrum Tom" chasing shadows instead of the footy.

Last time we played them they had a bloke called Kelly, Selwood and another handy bloke called Ablett.

Maybe if we can win it out of the guts we don't have to worry about what happens down back.

I know they think giving Serong run with roles helps his development, however I think This would be the perfect game to throw Banfield in the middle with a “keep Paddy under 10 possessions and you get a fresh contract” mission, with the players they have missing, he is their only gun mid left.

MMM, Menegola, Duncan and a young fella named Steven who would love to match up on Blakely. They do run pretty deep but while Banfield may be a good match up for Danger I'd like to see our kids given a free rein to run and stun against a defensive unit that looks somewhere between dinosaurs or statues when challenged at ground level for pace.
Conversely it's the small forwards Rohan, Miers and Dahlhaus who have done as much damage as Hawkins who has 11 majors, the same as Tabs, for the season. The biggest threat Danger poses is if he is posted as a permanent forward because I'm not sure if we have anyone to match it with him in this position.
