They checked mine, and wanted to stop me bringing in a plastic bottle of water because it had been opened. I ignored the direction to discuss it with the supervisor the other side of the scanners.
Why would a paper ticket be less covid risk than these annoying phone Q codes?
If they sell family tickets, then an expectation that you take kids, and whatever is necessary to facilitate their well-being is not unreasonable. Covid becomes an excuse for a lot of things. Given there were no accommodations on trains, entry queues or genuinely in the manner of seating, these security restrictions /bag restrictions are dishonest excuses. I was trying to social distance as much as possible with BYo food and drink. It was the responsible health approach. They try and make it difficult. They may make an occupational argument to put patrons at risk
I bring a coffee thermos every game. Sometimes they demand a whiff, usually not. I've never had a problem with my water bottle in 15 years. In any case, the pandemic considerations should override. I know it's about revenue.
