I see some potential issues for those who find it difficult to navigate through the new process of presenting your phones instead of tickets so below are pointers to get us all through the gates faster;
Download the Ticketmaster app onto your smart phone ( ask your kids / grand kids )
Use the same username and password as the one used to purchase tix online ( on your home/work computer )
Search the app for "My Events" ( found at the top left hand corner of your phone screen by pressing the 3 parallel lines )
Click on the Freo v West Coast event
Your tickets should now have a barcode that looks like a bunch of squares that make a pattern ( not the same you see at Woolies or Coles )
Good Luck to those who only purchased a phone to go to the derby
Alternatively you can take a good photo of the barcode on your computer at home for them to scan at the gate

With an apple phone you can save the tickets into the wallet app you then open this and they are there to be scanned.

Not sure if android has the same function.

I have forwarded all three tickets, via Ticketmaster app to the people going with me, . None of them can access their tickets when they click on the link. It says Unable to Process you request - Try again.
Any ideas of what to do. All three people are unable to access.

Unfortunately, as I have 'forwarded' all tickets, and Ticketmaster won't let me cancel the forwarding, I can no longer view the tickets or bar-codes
I have 5 very anxious friends.
Thank you for your advice, though..
Update - it took half an hour, but the cancelled forward suddenly worked. I have taken a screen shot of all tickets and everyone is now happy!

Probably the biggest tip of all is to make sure your phone is charged before going to the footy.

I doubt they'll have a priority express lane for anybody with less than 4% battery on their phone.

I have been told not to screw my phone off the wall and forward the tickets to my son for him to do want needs to be done.
But read the verb there's no going back and the tickets/barcodes can't be used viewed again..I quickly unplugged the computer.
