TOPIC: Connor Blakely

David Hale was on the ABC this morning - when pressed, he said it was all about Connor's quality of disposal.

So that's the choice - a bloke that gets it and turns it over, or a bunch of blokes that can't get it. Fair enough.

Apparently we have too many midfield types, what a surprise.

He was making the blokes who can't get the ball look bad with his lack of silver service delivery.

Thanks David. So it's better to play guys who have just as bad or worse disposal but can't actually get the ball in their hands nearly as often.

For mine, I would rather have the ball turned over inside our 50 by a bloke who could get the footy, than in the guts by a bloke who couldn't get it.

Blakely would benefit from not having Peaches out there not getting on the end of his disposals, and would also be a good chance of getting the footy back when it comes back into the middle from his poor disposal (oh, I can see this could lead to even lower scoring games, but WTH, lets just try it)

Don’t worry he’s getting a run with Adelaide tomorrow, we’ll see how he goes.

Sorry Shane, just printed your budget!

The only game i am likely to see this year was the one against the bloos at Rushton (seated in the stand, 180 degrees from the ballas wing). Connor has that uncanny skill for getting the ball in his hands in good positions backward of the centre, and then his foot skills and hand coordination go AWOL. Hopefully, a standard JLo/Buckley endorsed training routine will get that up to a serviceable level by (my guess) next week.
