TOPIC: March Injury list

In the middle of March we had 13 players out. With only one not returning in the next two months, Giro.

That March update is still on the club website as the latest list. It will be really interesting to see how many are actually out after doing not a lot for eight weeks.

There should be no excuses.

Oh, the month of March. I thought Peter Bell had tried to save on bus fair, marched the boys down from the Extra Long Term Parking Bay on foot and done a series of baffling knee injuries.

Fremantle Football Club and excuses go hand in hand........except for when we were a no excuses anywhere anytime any place club.
That actually translated to when we were winning. When we turned to sh*t the excuses flew thick and fast.

I saw Cam sprinting from the carpark for his covid19 test - looks in top nick, 100 goals in 16 games for sure.

Nice to see Jesse Hogan going in for his testing, thought he looked really well - fingers crossed it’s a good sign for him

Stephen Hill (quad), Blake Acres (hamstring), David Mundy (leg) and Stefan Giro (knee) were all out of the rehabilitation group.
Alex Pearce, fellow defender Joel Hamling (both ankle) and Sam Switkowski (lower back) were the only ones training away from the seven-man groups.

Still missing our best 2 key defenders.

Yep, and while I accept he is young and will develop further, I've seen nothing to indicate Brennan Cox will become a AFL-level key defender.

Defence will be our weakness going into this rehashed season.

its interesting about defence. I have mates who are watching the restarted K League and bundeslige soccer matches, they have noticed that the area that seems the most affected by lack of team training is team defence.

This may be a help to us if we are relying on a young and individual defenders our worst may not be as bad compared to other teams as their team defence is not at its best.

Never the less not having Hambling and Pearce is a big loss.

I'm hoping Alex and Joel haven't pledged themselves to the injury list Forever.

I hate to state the obvious, our squad seems to have benefited by being kept away from our medical team.
