FWIW, for those who are interested I asked the club yesterday what the options are for membership refunds and got the following response today:

"Thank you for your email and your patience during this time.
We have been working through what the impact of COVID-19 will have on our club and subsequently our membership program. The AFL announced this morning that the 2020 AFL season will resume on June 11. Since this announcement, we have determined how to approach this and you will be provided with a range full of options including refunds and/or account credit for 2021 as an option.
An email correspondence will be sent to you early next week with these range options. "

Sounds like at at least we will get options...

Hahaha, That Other Mob of Knobs is offering their membership to rollover to 2021 for $50 or $35 for a refund. Unbelievable - $35 for a refund.

Edit: In other words, they will make $1,925,000.00 if their membership pay for refunds, $2,750,000.00 on the rollover. They're not swindlers, no way.

I should, Polly.

The smartest way to do this would be to ask members to "bank" their 2020 membership with the club in return for a 10% membership discount for the next ten years. Means you get your money back , but only if you stick with the club, and spreads the financial pain over a manageable period for FFC.
