It does not seem to be advertised how the diagnostic process works at the Fremantle dockers.
Ken Withers, I think, was the inaugural club doctor, and I assume was the guy who would have been responsible for referrals. Being a West Australian, I assume his network was with local specialists. More recently, a Queenslander,
Peter Steele is listed as the Senior Medical Officer at FFC. I am not sure how long he has been in WA for, but his CV includes the Kookaburras. I am guessing his network of specialists includes some eastern States based expertise. I don't think this is a WA v eastern seaboard discussion but rather a predictable outcome from the appointment choices made.
