Draft bolter
Unlikley to be available at 7 now according to this. Sorry about paywall.
"...Melbourne and Adelaide have shown a willingness to trade their top five draft picks as WA ruck prodigy Luke Jackson continues to firm as an early selection next month.
The Demons (pick three) and Crows (pick four) hold selections that will shape the top 10 of the national draft, with Gold Coast set to select gun Victorians Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson with the first two picks.
Fremantle have been urged to trade aggressively into the top five to avoid missing out on Jackson and could have the opportunity through Melbourne or Adelaide if their interest in the exciting ruckman is strong enough.
Recruiting sources said
Jackson’s draft range, with picks as they stand, was
three to seven but pick swaps on draft night could change it.
If the Dockers try to trade their pick seven or 10 into the top five, they could have competition from GWS.
The Giants are attempting to get their first pick ahead of a potential bid on academy prospect Tom Green, which is expected to come from Sydney at pick five.
Rival recruiters expect the Giants would then use their top-five selection on Jackson if he was available.
Carlton are also interested in the ruckman and will meet with him in Perth in the next fortnight. But it is unlikely they would be able to snare him with their pick nine.
Former West Coast and North Melbourne tall Drew Petrie has been an influential figure in Jackson’s development this season, working one-on-one with the teenager on his ruck craft.
The partnership was organised by AFL academy coach Luke Power, with Jackson also working one-on-one with former WA State 18s coach and ex-West Coast player Andrew Lockyer.
Jackson also trained with the Dockers late this season..."
