Walter, I think you'd find the 2019 season to be a dream draw for the Richmond Tigers. I think they travelled once in their last dozen or so home-and-away games. My point is dream draws are possible and can be easily engineered.

Glad to see the Tigers will be clocking up some frequent flier miles next year in last 9 games travelling to Sydney, Gold Coast and Adelaide with a final game to end the season against us at Optus. Only 4 at MCG.

Nope, we're going to eff Richmond up real bad in that final round - great tv viewing, could be an annual blockbuster.

You mean when Richmond tank so bad they send their C team to give the A and B players a rest on their way to a 3rd flag in 4 years and the Vic media laud it as a brilliant, clever and necessary move with minor references to the obvious disrepute shown for the game Freo had when Pavlich, McPhee, Hayden, Mundy, Hill, Morabito and Fyfe all came down with bouts of soreness prior to a Tassie trip in 2010?

I can just see the blockbuster TV ads on channel seven. It’ll become the annual Tank Warfare game.

Yep. That’ll really mess them up.

“Blockbusters” are the clearest evidence of the importance of money and power over a fair draw at AFL House. Blockbusters only serve to reinforce the status of ‘big clubs’. It’s self perpetuating to say that big clubs deserve prime spots because the draw the biggest crowds which means that they get high exposure which attracts more supporters ... there’s s hole in my bucket dear Lisa ....

I would have thought the evidence stacked up pretty solidly that the less popular clubs don't attract crowds, even when given lengthy opportunities in what people consider a good time slot.

If they did they would be popular clubs and blockbuster matches.

My cousin in Brissy calls Fyfey “The Invisible Man”. Only ever sees him on Brownlow night.

Even back when we were doing well, my sister in Melbourne said there were only something like 3 Freo games shown on free to air TV in a season. It is hard to become popular if you are never seen.
