TOPIC: Michael Cheika

Having read a few articles about Australia's Rugby World Cup quarter-final debacle, particularly on the Roar website, I've come to the conclusion that the coach they call Michael Cheika is actually Ross in disguise. It's uncanny.

e.g."Michael Cheika’s habit of telling press conferences that he felt his team played well while the scoreboard in the background shows another Wallabies’ loss has become commonplace. To begin with, it came across as him wanting to stand up for and protect his players – an understandable trait for sure.

But over months and years neither message nor the scoreboard really changed much. What has changed is that Cheika’s comments have ended up sounding like he’s naive and unwilling to acknowledge the real issues facing his team. In fact it’s gone beyond that – it’s turned into a “we played well so it can’t be our fault” and this has spread to the team." (Quote from Roar Article)

Have they ever been seen in the same room together???

Same denial /gobbledegok BS

Same "too long in the job without proper review" career

Same gamestyle (...albeit Cheika's a little more positive & enjoyable to watch )

Actually, it's occurred to me that Ross in fact might be Michael Cheika in disguise. I recall an interview where Ross said 'we don't have enough defensive scrums' and later 'we have to avoid forward passes or knock-ons'. I thought it strange at the time and just part of Ross's usual blather, but now it starts to make sense.

The Wallabies were sloppy and have been for a long time, Just like Rugby Australia and nothing will improve until they get a strong plan and people to enforce it. Not bt bowing to the likes of Qantas or the Victorian government

No one goes 'to the line' like RoLy, Yeti...

You know it makes aense...

Are you allowed to 'punch it over the line' in Rugby?? If so, lock him in...

Only really watched 10 minutes after half time, and the Wallabies had the Poms on the back foot, score (I think) 17-16, and the Wallabies attacking the line for most of that 10 minutes. But (Like Freo under Lyon) they did not know how to take a chance and score. 1 try in that 10 minutes and they would have had the Poms chasing the game, but they could not do it. Then the Poms ran away with the game for the last 20 minutes. So yes, maybe Lyon & Cheika are the same person.

Ross and ZD - both playing for the lines. The old team back together. The game they play in Hell.

It's awful losing to the Poms in any sport. I caught a bit on tv, but it seemed so pointless - crouch, touch, set, (collapse); reset; crouch, touch, set, (collapse); reset; crouch, touch, set, (collapse); reset; crouch, touch, set, (collapse)....repeat, again and again (over and over). There's got to be something better to do than simply collapsing the scrum all the time - why dont they show the bloody All Blacks, now THERE IS A TEAM WORTH WATCHING.
