Shane, you really need to display a bulb of garlic “breath of fresh air” counter on this website for every time that phrase gets mentioned from now on. The media release isn’t even out and we’re already up to 2.

Wiki says:

In December, 2010, Garlick was appointed CEO of the Western Bulldogs and maintained that position for 5 years. He is currently CEO of Bastion Collective in Richmond.

Bastion Collective is a global marketing and advisory company headquartered in the Melbourne, Australia suburb of Richmond, Victoria. It is reportedly the largest independent marketing and communications group in Australia, and was founded in 2009 by former professional Australian rules footballerFergus Watts.

I say:
Much prefer his cv to James Clement or Brayshaw. Sounds like just the guy to show Belly the ropes.

Just been reading Wikipedia on Bulldogs quite tumultuous years 2010 to 2015 - not sure how much say he had as Presidents seemed to be the ones in the limelight at that club. Maybe that’s why he resigned. They of course then went on to win in 2016. Fingers crossed. Maybe it’s just to train Belly up.

Apparently he was quite instrumental in the recruitment of Luke Beveridge who is now considered one of the best coaches in the comp after the Dogs premiership success and then reboot in 2019.
