Didn't mean to throw stones, it was just an observation. He was nervous and did very well in the presser.

We were right behind that goal, ie. behind the dugout, when he marked and won the game for us. I'm super excited about what he can bring to the club, I like how he's a "people first" person.

It's amazing our new coach speaks like a human being and we're thrilled.

In the coming months we'll understand how bad things got.

I would’ve liked to have seen the look on Dale and Peter’s faces if Justin came out in the presser with the line “I’m not here to be defined by results”

In one of those short Q&A segments on the Freo website, he was asked what was his most memorable moment in his playing career. He could have said the mark that won the game, but he nominated the 2006 Prelim final.
I think that says a lot about what he wants to be remembered for.

Justin was the guy that stood outside our back 50 on the boundary and took the mark that had to be taken to get us moving forward. He's back and he'll get us out of this hole.

Longmuir may have taken the mark and kicked the goal but McPharlin was the guy who ran down Peckett and delivered the ball. How ironic that McPharlin has again had a hand in presenting Longmuir with another opportunity. All going well Longmuir will show the same tenacity and calm disposition to give us a few more memorable moments.

Longmuir might start winning games and finals and getting the club back on track but will he have a '...cobblers...' in him? Will he be quoting Shakespeare and Churchill and Aristotle to the players at half time? Or will it be more '...do something ...don't think, do...' type of oratory?

I think Justin will let that old bootmaker on William St. in Northbridge do the cobbling. He will stick to supervising the skills sessions.

Happy to have JLo as coach, but doesn’t seem like there was much competition.
