The first task as coach ? To walk into a club and get to know the players and where to play them to suit the skills they used to have would be a bit daunting !
Any comments ?

Maybe.....and certainly valid - though, I would prefer, that, - whoever it is - takes the players for a walk down the centre corridor, to show them where it is, and tell them that "itsa good lace to be ,and its alright to be there...they are allowed to."

He can finish that conversation with the statement " the days of kicking to the pack on the boundary line for the punch out, are over"

I suppose it might be a good idea if the new coach had some knowlege of the players already ?

Email Dale, with a cc to Belly, tell him to put the shotgun away and to head off on a holiday somewhere.

Cox recruited as an U18 All Australian CHB and hasn't played there yet. Yes I know Pearce and Logue have been playing there but you would have thought with them out it might have occurred to Ross to give it a try.

I would think that the candidates for the job, most of whom have coached against us, would have a very good idea of the strengths and weaknesses of all players. That is not going to be a problem. Getting the players used to kicking the footy at training is the biggest obstacle I can envision.

I think he should point out early on that Jeremy McGovern doesn’t in fact play for the Dockers, so a good start in the next derby would be not to hit him lace out every time we go forward.

Spud, I think the appointment of a new coach will see that problem sort itself out.
