as much as I hate them, i admire their football club, how it is run and their skill development coaches. Seeing them in the top half and again contesting for the premiership I thing amplifies all the current feelings we have about Freo. Not to mention the two Derby losses, one of which was a hiding.
Let’s face it. Currently they are basically grade A and we are playing in grade B, maybe C footy. Hopefully the tides will change soon.

Who are their skills development coaches?

One or two games....you must have been on holidays? We haven’t had the best of seasons but have won some hard fought games, a few against supposed quality too. Just about every side had been belted at some stage too.

I shake my head when I see all the young talent that other sides have at their disposal that we could have recruited.
I also shake my head at seeing this young talent thrive at other clubs whereas when young talent comes to Freo it is ground out of them to a point where constant mistakes are being made under pressure.
Let's hope Belly has identified this too and will instill as a minimum a god damn skills coach and a proper game plan that doesn't suck everyone up the field to lock the ball in the oppositions forward line.
Ballas and Sandi have now retires... maybe I should too.

Okay win wise, we had a great showing against Geelong, beat GWS who aren't really that good, a last minute point win against Brisbane and a few other games which we won or lost by close margins, plus of course the first game of the year against NM which once again bought more false hope.
We also lost to every bottom side team below us- GC, Melb, St K, Carl. Was Sydney one of our close wins?
So if you equate that to an okay year, you're obviously happy enough for us to continue on our path of less than mediocrity

Apart from the North Melbourne game, which I thoroughly enjoyed, I haven't thought much of the entertainment value of other of our games this season. Even the Geelong game, yes we won, but it was still not enjoyable to sit through.
Hopefully, when a new coaching set-up is implemented we might return to playing a type of winning football that is also enjoyable to watch.
As you can tell from the foregoing, I'm rather disenchanted with the whole set up and won't be happy until things change.

You might not like their supporters ( who would) but you must admire the clubs ability to maintain a skill set for every player on the park. Another club to admire is Brissy .... new coach .... brilliant outcome! To cap it off Lachie might win the Brownlow!!
