I know many of you won’t agree but Freo ARE the worst team in the AFL including Gold Coast.
Our skills are worse than many of the WAFL clubs
Our development is slow
We have one of the highest rates of recurrent injuries
We don’t manage our injuries well
We rely too much on Two players . Fyfe and Walters
We have a lot of B or C grade talent that continue to turn the ball over in critical situations (yes you Hughes, Duman, Conca, Tucker etc)
Once we lose Hill and Langdon, on top of Neale our midfield will be THE worst in the AFL + we will drop further down the ladder
We STILL dont have forwards that can actually KICK goals
Our Coach has no plan B apart from “ We have great effort”
We get bullied by bigger bodies teams that bring pressure
We don’t play for our legends and lack passion for the club

I know this is a negative and on paper our best team LOOKS ok but I can’t see this team going forward unless drastic change is made starting at the top (Lyon). Otherwise this rebuild will be 2030.
I for one will not be renewing my membership until I see some glimmer of positive hope. I’m shattered by Freo this season.

I was at the game only to farewell Ballas and Sandi. The team has no structure, confidence and game plan.... it’s beyond repair and us members will again have to pick up the pieces.

Well that’s all bollocks, of course, but we are in that mid-field wasteland along with the Adelaides, Norths etc, and I’m not sure we’re seeing the sorts of signs that we’re heading up from there.

And we’ve got life without Sandi to deal with, and the win/loss stats show how tough that’s going to be.

It's a crazy old comp at the moment with North Melbourne, the Bulldogs and Carlton all better teams than the 7th and 8th spot teams and whilst our turnover rates tonight were abysmal we are NOT the worst team in the comp. That honour firmly rests between Gold Coast and Melbourne for demonstrated mediocrity over the full season and especially in recent weeks where they have not been competitive at all.

I don't think we are the worst team in the comp, Gold Coast win by a mile. But jeez, in the past two games we have played an opposition team who have been down a player for the majority of the game and we still couldn't take advantage of the situation in what I would describe as pretty winnable games. That in itself says a lot about where we are as a club. Its been very much the same for the past four years, dud game plan, dud skills, dud coach and dud CEO.

We may not be the worst team in the AFL but I bet we are close competition with GC for the worst run club.

We have a management that is seemingly fixated on keeping Freo as a bottom of the table, poorly performing club. What other team would appoint a coach on a long term contract without having performance measures in place. If bottom 6 is the meeting any performance measure then management is incompetent. If there are no performance measure to achieve then management is incompetent.

Flawed logic obviously. Freo beat Geelong Brisbane & GWS so must be close to being the best team in the comp?

Jeez Freo is bad at the moment and Hypen is correct - we have no depth in our list and after this years trade period I didn’t think that would be the case.

Guys. Let’s not beat around the bush - the only guys that can consistently hit targets are walters, mundy and maybe hill, the rest, including our best player Fyfe constantly turn the ball over. This needs to change. No other team has only two or three players who can hit targets. In saying that Mundy had a few horrific turnovers last night.
