The Lions player gets 1 week for an off the ball incident where the North player/victim got a free kick and played out the game and yet Barrass concusses Viney with a shoulder bump to the jaw and no case to answer??

Are they serious?

The AFL season is so full of inconsistencies, mixed messages and anomalies it could be a competition administered in North Korea.

"The Rub Of The Green"
Does anyone comprehend the nuances of the rules enough to explain why this isn't 2-3 weeks: Barrass appears to glance at Viney and braces for contact shoulder-first as he comes in. It's high contact resulting in concussion. Barrass knew the contact was coming, and he held firm with his shoulder. If Viney had sailed in with his shoulder up and not Barrass, would that have been acceptable? Some teams routinely get 'the rub of the green' when it comes to these kinds of incidences, others are just gone straight away particularly if there's a game-ending injury to the other player.

Initiated a head high bump that left Viney concussed. Nothing to see here.

Astounding, the AFLs last, tiny, miniscule tissue thin veneer of credibility just evaporated. What a sad sad industry. Its time for clubs to litigate and shine a light on this atate of affairs.
