Glad they see something in Logue. Looking forward to us seeing something too!
Still don't see where he fits in our backline when all are fit.

I can see Logue in the middle, see ball, get ball, bullock through like Natanui.
I like Cam, he has to show something next year I think.

He's a bit smaller than Notacluey, more in the Pav mould running through midfield. Played there with Swans in WAFL and I'm wondering when the penny will drop for Ross as this could free up Fyfe to spend more time forward.

Agree and have been on that bandwagon for awhile now too but he seems to be pigeonholed as a backman even at Peel.
Not like our midfield is doing that well so why not.

The best way for Logue to develop is through perseverance. He did great in his time back. He doesn't read the ball well and easily gets caught out of position. Its hard learning the whole opponent vs ball thing when it doesn't come naturally. Dropping him every time he screws up is a black mark against the selection team not Logue. To walk away from that pathetic, insipid derby annihilation and think "drop Logue" was inconceivable.

Has it ever occurred to Lyon his large body and high end running attributes could be employed around the ball? He likes lots of players around the ball.

No point having Fyfe forward when Logue gives it away in the middle.

I’d play Logue on a wing. Especially if Langdon leaves.

Everyone's been talking of Logue as a midfielder since he was drafted and the coaching staff mentioned they saw his athletic ability as allowing him to move into the midfield.

You forget however that playing in the midfield requires a good deal of knowledge as to where the ball is, where it's going to go, how to get there and most importantly; what to do with it when you get it. To answer these questions in the affirmative, you need a good deal of footballing knowledge and instinct.

Does Logue have this? Has anyone seen that from him yet? There's a reason he's down back following opponents.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

I assume if he's going to get out thought on a football field in the middle of it would be better than 25 meters out from goal!

I find it a bit concerning that we a having a discussion about a player that has trouble reading the play, finding the ball, etc that we used a top 10 draft pick on.

Is Griffen Logue the new Daniel Bandy of Fremantle?

Bizkit I think he can make an impact by throwing his weight around banging into the opposition. He also needs space infront of him to use his pace.

The last time Freo used a top 10 pick on an athlete instead of a footballer was to get Trent Croad. That went really well! You'd think kicking, reading the play, handballing would be part and parcel of any footballer, nevermind a top 10 pick. But Logue didn't start playing footy until he was 15 or so. Hilarious when you think about it.
