That over the years we have played lock down forwards with Switkowski being the latest. Whose job seems more about pressuring and attempting to stop an opponent easily running the ball out of our forward line, but we rarely, if ever play an actual lock down backman. Nyhuis occasionally.
It might be nice to actually stop one of those small forwards from kicking so many goals against us.

What planet are you from?
The aim of the game isn't to KICK goals, how boring would that be?
The aim, which is much more interesting, is to chase the opposition when they have the ball and try to tackle them.
Isn't that how you win? Effort. More effort and you win. Scoreline pfffft.

I thought the whole idea behind the defensive game plan was to stop goals being kicked.

It's certainly worked well in Freo's case but not so much for the opposition

I like Nyhuis, he offers versatility. He can play both lock down (forward and back) and knock down on the half forward line, just ask Robbie Gray.

How many games would you give him before he gets the chop? 2-3 seems his usual.
